A New Addition to the Right Source Marketing Roster – Meet Tracy Gold

Tracy Gold Right Source MarketingIt all started with a typo.

When we first heard from Tracy Gold, she was bold enough to point out a typo in one of our recent blog posts, detail-oriented enough to research the backgrounds of the two people she was writing to, and savvy enough to read our blog post on Building an Interactive Marketing All-Star team and request a spot on that team.

We got together a few times to make sure Tracy and Right Source Marketing were a match, and the rest is history.

We’re excited to announce that Tracy joined Right Source Marketing as Marketing & Content Associate on October 11, and she’s already making an enormous impact on the company.  She will be contributing in three main areas – building world-class marketing programs for our client base, contributing to Right Source Marketing’s own marketing initiatives, and helping to design and execute a new service we’ll be rolling out in early November.

While Tracy’s profile claims she has years of experience as a professional writer, that sells her skill set short.  Her writing immediately stood out to us, but she is versatile enough to have handled projects that go far beyond writing and into areas such as marketing, people and resource management, and communications/publicity.

Tracy’s profile would not be complete without mentioning that she is a proud recent graduate of Duke University, where she did more in four years than most of us can hope to do in eight.  Ambitious, achievement-oriented, easy to work with, self-starter…these are just a few of the descriptions we heard from folks we spoke to about Tracy.

One last note for those of you out there looking for employment, especially at smaller companies: do what Tracy did.  Do your homework before you contact the company.  Do your homework when meeting with a company.  Do your homework when following back up with a company after an interview.  Assuming the right skill set is in place, attention to detail will always separate one candidate from another.

The following is a direct quote from Tracy: “I love finding just the right words, and never use a big word when a diminutive one will do.”

I agree wholeheartedly, and will follow suit.  Welcome to the team, Tracy.

    Good luck Tracy, and congratulations!

Fun sense of humor too (the “diminutive” thing).

Thanks Scott! I’m currently negotiating “Being as goofy as possible” into my job description. We’ll see how that goes.
